Top Restaurants in Palolem – ThatGoanGirl Guide

Palolem, a paradise nestled in the southern part of Goa, welcomes a diverse number of tourists every year. While it may not be as bustling as the beaches up north, Palolem is known for its serene beauty and mesmerizing sunsets. Surprisingly, the restaurants in Palolem are equally captivating, boasting a wide range of flavors and culinary experiences. Here are a few restaurants that I’ve tried.

Best Restaurants in Palolem

Bibhitaki

If you’re on a mission to embrace mindful and sustainable eating, Bibhitaki will stand out. This vegan cafe is dedicated to promoting clean eating. This cozy eatery offers a menu that spans various cuisines and also serves up organic and gluten-free options. While authenticity may sometimes take a backseat, Bibhitaki compensates with delectable drinks like turmeric latte, coffee with coconut milk, fresh juices, smoothie bowls, and flavorful toasts with an array of toppings. Vegan options such as chickpea omelettes, dosas, burgers, and wraps are also available, making it a hit-or-miss experience worth exploring.

Nadora

Nadora is a comfortable and air-conditioned multi-cuisine restaurant. I dined here a couple of times during my staycation at the De Garland Hotel in Palolem While catering to diverse tastes, what Nadora does best is providing yummy Indian cuisine. The flavors, spices, and expertly crafted dishes are particularly noteworthy, making it a must-visit for those seeking a comfortable Indian dining experience with family.

The Mill

Stepping into The Mill felt like stepping back in time, as this charming restaurant is tucked away in a former rice mill. Its rustic setting, with wooden doors, tiled roofs, skylights, and cozy gunny sack cushions, transported me to a bygone era.

Despite the lack of air-conditioning, which can be challenging during the sweltering Goan summer afternoons, The Mill somewhat makes up for it with its extensive menu, including breakfast options, smoothie bowls, pasta, soups, pancakes, juices, and an extensive selection of teas and coffees. The desserts here, including the mouthwatering carrot cake were my favourite part of the meal. The quick service and charming ambiance make it a perfect spot to relax.

Zest Cafe

For a refreshing culinary experience, Zest Cafe comes highly recommended. This vibrant eatery offers an eclectic menu with a focus on fresh, healthy, and flavorful dishes. From scrumptious breakfast options to delectable lunches and dinners, Zest Cafe ensures that every craving is satisfied. I particularly appreciated the colorful and appetizing presentation of each dish. Surprisingly, the prices were reasonable, and vegetarians had plenty of options to choose from. With its creative approach to food and a lovely beach view, it’s no wonder Zest Cafe is a top choice among visitors to Palolem. I can personally vouch that it’s worth multiple visits, especially if you’re fortunate enough to be staying in Palolem.
