Rangeela, Assagao

Rangeela, located in Assagao, is a concept store housed inside an ancestral Goan villa, offering a delightful selection of contemporary fashion and homeware. With a mantra of embracing life by the sea, Rangeela Goa has established itself as a paradise for those seeking unique and curated pieces. The store features a diverse collection of women’s clothing, menswear, accessories, souvenirs, gifts, arts, and even furniture.

From clothing inspired by different parts of India like Gujarat and Rajasthan to pieces sourced from Indonesia, Rangeela offers a wide variety of options for visitors to explore. Whether you’re looking for stylish clothing, beautiful homeware, or one-of-a-kind antiques, Rangeela has something to cater to every taste. Pro Tip – it’s a great space to pick up gifts for weddings, house-warmings, birthdays, and more. They have something that caters to most price points, keeping in mind it’s location in Assagao.

Cheshire Cat, Parra

The Cheshire Cat Gallery was formerly in Assagao, before it moved to Parra, very close to the famous Parra Road. This hidden gem offers a unique range of handmade jewellery and chic apparel. With a focus on precious stones, their collection of rings, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings is truly exquisite. Kees van Andel and Karen Peace, internationally renowned jewellery designers based in Goa, are the creative minds behind Cheshire Cat Gallery. They draw inspiration from the vibrant colors, diverse cultures, and rich gemstone heritage of India.

Their designs artfully combine traditional motifs with contemporary styles, showcasing their expertise in goldsmithing and their commitment to using high-quality gemstones and gold. Additionally, Cheshire Cat Gallery also offers healing crystals and stones, as well as personalized design consultations by appointment. This gallery is a must-visit for anyone seeking beautiful and unique jewellery pieces that effortlessly blend traditional and modern aesthetics.

Kusol Decor, Margao

Kusol Decor in Margao is hands-down one of the best home decor stores I’ve come across in Goa. It’s the kind of place where you walk in expecting a quick look and end up spending an hour touching, feeling, and mentally redecorating your entire house. The variety is genuinely impressive – boho, minimal, floral, bold, textured, neutral – there really is something for every style, budget, and mood.

What stands out most is the quality at the price point. Everything feels thoughtfully made without the inflated tourist markup you often see in Goa. I was especially drawn to the jute rugs (so many natural tones and weaves), the ottomans and pouffs (perfect low seating or footrests), and the cushions/cushion covers – soft, well-stitched, and full of personality. Their laundry basket collection is unlike anything I’ve seen locally – beautiful shapes, natural materials, and actually useful sizes.

They cover almost every room: bedsheets, pillows, pillow covers, bathroom mats, towels, tablecloths, runners, wall hangings, photo frames, egg holders, napkin rings, curtain tie-backs, small table pieces… the list goes on. Everything is sourced directly from producers, which keeps prices honest and fair – whether you’re spending a few hundred rupees or a couple of thousand, you walk away happy.

Owner Tanvi has excellent taste and is genuinely helpful. She doesn’t push; she listens, suggests, and helps you visualize how pieces will work in your space. It’s the kind of store that’s perfect for shopping for housewarmings, weddings, birthdays, or just refreshing your own home. If you’re in South Goa and want decor that feels special without feeling overpriced, Kusol Decor is worth the drive to Margao.
